Welcome to the home of the Rio River Rats, Laredo AFB, Undergraduate Pilot Training Class 71-06. The Rio River Rats received their Silver Wings or Gold Wings on February 26, 1971. Classmates went on to serve in all commands of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War, the Persian Gulf War, and the War on Terror. The Rio River Rats have lost five members out of a graduating class of 56.
In June, 1996, 21 members of the class and their wives held their 25th Year Reunion in San Antonio, Texas.
The 30th Year Reunion hosted by Jon & Diane Foster took place in Fort Worth, Texas, on April 20-22, 2001 with 13 classmates plus guests.
Our 36th Year Reunion occurred June 2007 on 11th floor at the historic Hilton Fort Worth. There were six classmates and their wives in attendence. We'll do it again - before it's too late!
